Privacy policy

Tizen Archive is a non-commercial project. We collect as little personal data as the site needs to work, we do not sell it and we do not show ads.

Who is responsible

The site is run by its owner as an individual project. For any privacy question write to [email protected].

What data we process

Browsing the catalog and downloading packages does not require an account. We process:

• Account data: email address, a password hash (never the password itself), roles, registration date and email confirmation date.
• Uploads: the packages you upload, the information read from them and a link to your account.
• Download records: the time of a download, the downloaded file, your account if you are logged in, your IP address and the browser's User-Agent.
• IP addresses for rate limiting of registration, password recovery and package analysis requests.
• Error reports sent to Sentry when the site fails. They do not include cookies, IP addresses or user identifiers.

Cookies and local storage

We use:

• A cookie that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days of inactivity or until you log out (necessary; set only when you log in).
• A language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers the language you chose (necessary).
• A record of your cookie choice in your browser's local storage (necessary).
• Cookies of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, set only after you accept. They measure visits and help us see which pages are used.

Until you choose, analytics stay off. You can change the choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. Declining or withdrawing consent does not limit access to the site. Cookies that were already set can be deleted in your browser settings.

Why we process data

To run accounts and uploads, to protect the site against abuse, to keep the catalog correct and to see how the site is used. Analytics are based on your consent; the rest is based on our legitimate interest in running a safe service, or on the need to provide the service you asked for.

Who receives data

We do not sell personal data. It may be processed by:

• Google, for Tag Manager and Analytics, only if you accept cookies.
• Sentry, for error reports.
• Our hosting, file storage and email delivery providers, which process data on our behalf.

How long we keep data

Account data is kept while the account exists. Logs and error reports are kept only as long as needed for security and diagnostics. Packages already published in the catalog stay in the archive, but we can detach them from your account on request.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate data;
• delete your account and data;
• stop processing based on consent, and complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date. If the changes affect cookies, we will ask for your choice again.
