An Android app that installs packages from this catalog, or .wgt and .tpk files from your phone, on a Samsung Tizen watch without a computer. On a phone, the “Install on the watch” button of a version page opens it.
Two ways to send a package
Galaxy Wearable
No developer mode on the watch. For each package the app builds a small helper app, and Galaxy Wearable delivers the package to the watch. Android asks you to confirm every helper app, and the app waits between packages.
Wi-Fi
Faster, and it shows what the watch answered. The phone connects to the watch over your Wi-Fi network and installs with the watch's own package manager. Needs Debugging on in the watch's developer options.
What else it does
- Opens the “Install on the watch” link of this site: the package is downloaded and checked before it is installed.
- Installs a queue of packages from a folder, or a file opened or shared from another app, and shows their names, versions and icons.
- Warns before you send a package the watch is expected to refuse, such as one without a store signature.
- Over Wi-Fi: finds the watch in your network, lists the packages on it and removes the ones the app installed.
- Over Wi-Fi: saves a copy of every package you install on the watch from Galaxy Store, with its original store signature, so that you can reinstall it later or add it to the archive.
What you need
- A phone with Android 8.0 or newer.
- A package the watch accepts. Each version page of the catalog says whether it can be installed.
- For Galaxy Wearable: the Galaxy Wearable app with Gear Plugin and a watch connected to it.
- For Wi-Fi: Debugging on in the watch's developer options, the watch on the same Wi-Fi network as the phone, and no VPN on the phone while sending.
Install
Download the APK from the latest release on GitHub and open it on the phone. Android asks once to allow installs from your browser or file manager.
Privacy
No ads, analytics or trackers. The app goes online only to download a package you install from this site and when you check for updates. Over Wi-Fi it connects only to your watch.
